Crews clearing debris, repairing slide


Courtesy of KYTC Crews from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet are removing debris that is obstructing the roadway and conducting slide repair operations on KY 38. A portion of KY 38 in Harlan County, at mile point 10 (1.5 miles east of Evarts), will remain closed until further notice. While work is in progress, KY 179 (non-commercial vehicles) and KY 38 (into Virginia) will be used as detours. The transportation cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone, expect long delays and utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.
