In honor of Fair Housing Month (April), Judge-Executive Dan Mosley recently signed a proclamation recognizing the need for community education and as an effort to increase awareness of fair housing.

Fair Housing laws are dictated by state and federal laws that prohibit discrimination against any person because of race, color, religion, sex, disability, marital or familial status, national origin, sexual orientation or gender identity. Fair Housing laws apply to real estate agents, builders, insurers, brokers, and lenders.

Harlan County supports Fair Housing in partnership with COAP Inc., Fahe Inc., and other housing partners.

For more information about Fair Housing, contact Fahe Inc., Elsa Reynolds at 859-228-2141.
