The SKCTC Center Stage Players will present ‘The Reluctant Dragon’ in the theaters on the Cumberland and Harlan campuses beginning Tuesday.

The play is based on that time when dragons were once glorious, and there a few renown dragon slayers as St. George. It was reported that the village was being terrorized, mistreated and threatened by a dragon that had suddenly appeared.

A young girl befriends the dragon to learn that he merely wants to lay about and write poetry. The girl also discovers that the dragon is rather a lazy fellow and loved to entertain.

Her problem is how to keep St. George from slaying the dragon and how to have the villagers accept the dragon as he is. There must be a fight and what a fight there will be.
