A Wallins woman is facing multiple charges after police allegedly found her in possession of drugs when they responded to a domestic complaint on Monday.
Barbara L. Skidmore, 27, was arrested by Kentucky State Police Trooper Kenny Sargent.
According to the citation, Skidmore was involved in a domestic incident with a male. The male told police Skidmore was on Xanax and got agitated with him and hit him in the face with her fist. Police took photos of Skidmore and the male. Skidmore was found in possession of multiple pills suspected to be alprazolam, also known as Xanax.
Skidmore was arrested and lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center.
Another citation states after Sargent left Skidmore in the custody of the Harlan County Detention Center, jail officials found her in possession of pills. She had a clonazepam bottle on her person with more than 20 white round pills and eight round blue pills. The staff then located a baggie in her clothing containing 31 round blue pills and more than 40 white oval pills.
Skidmore was charged with fourth-degree assault, first- and third-degree possession of a controlled substance, first-degree promoting contraband, illegal possession of a legend drug and prescription controlled substance not in original container.
She was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center without bond.

• Crissy J. Burke, 23, of Evarts, was arrested by Harlan City Police Officer Tyler Hensley on Tuesday. She was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center on a $5,000 full cash bond.
• John Paul Burke, 39, of Cumberland, was arrested on Tuesday by Benham City Police Chief Ryan Shephard. Burke was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, public intoxication by controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence and third-degree possession of a controlled substance. He was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center;
• Robby C. Johnson, 33, of Benham, was arrested on Tuesday by Shepherd on charges of second-degree wanton endangerment, third-degree possession of a controlled substance, carrying a concealed weapon and tampering with physical evidence. He was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center.
