Kentucky State Police Det. Kevin Miller charged Kayla Curtis, 30, of Cawood with murder, tampering with physical evidence, and abuse of a corpse on Wednesday evening.
According to a press release from KSP, Michael and Kayla Curtis are lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center. Detectives at Post 10 are still waiting on the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort to make a positive identification on the human remains found on Tuesday in Cawood.
The case is still under investigation by Miller and will be updated as information comes available.
