One person was killed in a one-vehicle crash on Tuesday in the Bledsoe area.
On Feb. 23, Kentucky State Police received a call about a collision on KY 221 in the Bledsoe community at approximately 6 a.m. Kentucky State Police Trooper Michael Cornett responded to the collision.
According to KSP Public Affairs Officer Shane Jacobs, a preliminary investigation indicates that a 2008 Ford F-150 driven by Torrance Callahan, 29, of Hazard, was traveling west on KY 221. Callahan entered a curve and crossed the double yellow line into the east bound lane before leaving the roadway. The vehicle then struck a tree and came to final rest. Callahan was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Harlan County Coroner.
Jacobs said no drugs or alcohol are suspected into the collision.
Collision is still under investigation by Cornett. He was assisted at the scene by Trooper Jared Boggs and the Bledsoe Fire Department.
