Kentucky State Police (KSP) are looking for information concerning a generator allegedly stolen from East Kentucky Power sometime in the last few weeks.
According to a press release, Kentucky State Police received a complaint on Wednesday from East Kentucky Power concerning a generator stolen from one of their sites. The Kohler propane power system was stolen approximately two to three weeks ago from a communication control site in the Slope Hollow area off of KY 179. The generator is described to be 8-feet in length, 3-feet in width and weighing approximately 1 ton. The value of the generator stolen plus the cost of the vandalism done at the site is estimated at approximately $40,000.

The case is being investigated by Det. Josh Howard.

• William Robert Dailey, 54, of Marion, Ohio, was arrested by KSP Trooper Michael Cornett on Wednesday. According to the citation, Dailey showed up at a residence driving a maroon Chevrolet Impala with Tennessee plates. A family member reported the tag number and it came back as reported stolen in Claiborne County, Tennessee, by the Maynardville Police Department.
Dailey was charged with receiving stolen property under $10,000 and lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center on full cash bonds totaling $5,500;
• James J. Halcomb, 31, of Cumberland, was arrested by Harlan County Sheriff’s Det. Jason Snelling on Wednesday. Halcomb was charged with trafficking in legend drugs. He was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center on a $2,500 unsecured bond.
