FRANKFORT — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that U.S. 25 will be reduced to one lane beginning Oct. 19 until Dec. 4, at the Rockcastle and Laurel county line (mile point 23.9). The lane closure is necessary for bridge cleaning and painting.

Work is scheduled to begin Oct. 19 and is expected to end Dec. 4, but all work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.

Maintenance crews will maintain the closure with temporary traffic signals. Motorists are asked to use extra caution when approaching and traveling through the work zone.
