A man and woman are facing multiple charges including importing Heroin and trafficking methamphetamine.

Eugene Farley, 39, and Tabatha Stanton, 28, both of Holmes Mill, were arrested on Monday by the Harlan County Sheriff’s Office.

According to a press release, the arrests were a result of joint undercover investigations conducted by the Harlan County Sheriff’s Office, Kentucky State Police and Appalachia Narcotics Investigations. Appalachia Narcotics Investigations is a multi-agency unit consisting of narcotics detectives from the Kentucky State Police, Harlan County Sheriff’s Office, Bell County Sheriff’s Office and Pineville Police Department.

Farley was charged with five counts of first-degree trafficking a controlled substance (methamphetamine), one count of trafficking a controlled substance (heroin) and importing heroin. He was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center on a $35,000 full cash bond.

Stanton was charged with trafficking a controlled substance (methamphetamine). She was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center on a $5,000 full cash bond.

In other police activity:

• Ronnie Curtis, 49, of Evarts, was served an indictment warrant by Harlan County Sheriff’s Deputy Danny Lewis. Curtis was indicted for first-degree burglary, kidnapping, second-degree assault and third-degree burglary. Curtis is lodged in the Harlan County Detention on a $10,000 full cash bond;

• Lawrence B. Robbins, 33, of Wallins, was arrested by Harlan County Sheriff’s Sgt. Chris Brewer on a warrant for probation violation. He was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center.

A defendant is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial at which government must prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
