Harlan County Campground, located in Putney, will host the second annual Bouncers vs Buggies event beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
The event will be a King of the Hill, winner take all in which the machine with the fastest time up the hill will be declared the winner and take home a bounty of $3,000.
The contest is open to larger off-road machines such as side by sides (Rzr’s), rail buggies, and 4wd buggies/trucks. Last year’s contest held an attendance of over 600 people and this year organizers are hoping to break that record.
The cost to watch is $20 per person for adults, and kids 10 and under get in free. There will be vendor’s onsite selling food and drinks along with event T-shirts.
The event area is accessible by vehicle (trucks or SUVs are recommended, but four-wheel drive is not needed). There will also be a shuttle service provided if you do not want to take your car to the event area.
