An Ages man is facing charges including possession of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor following an investigation by Kentucky State Police.
Derek Lee Brock, 20, was arrested on Tuesday by Kentucky State Police Det. Craig Miller.
According to the citation, police learned during a child sexual exploitation investigation Brock was asking juvenile females for nude photographs in exchange for money. A search warrant was executed at Brock’s residence. Brock confessed to asking approximately 20 underage females for nude photographs. He confessed at least 10 of the juvenile females had sent him nude photographs. Brock confessed that he had paid at least five of the juveniles. An on-scene preview of Brock’s cell phone revealed 10 explicit images of juvenile females.
Brock was charged with promoting a sexual performance by a minor and possession/view of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor. He was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center without bond.
In other police activity, Henry E. Stewart, 25, of Bledsoe, was arrested by Miller on a charge of distribution of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor.
According to the citation, police learned during a child sexual exploitation investigation an IP address was connected to Stewart’s previous residence in Baxter. Police made contact with Stewart, and he agreed to speak with police about the investigation. During the interview, Stewart confessed to uploading an image of a person he knew to be under the age of 18 onto a website.
Stewart was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center without bond.
