Central Baptist Church held their Christmas Dinner on Dec. 6 at the fellowship hall with over 100 in attendance.

Matt Shelton, Bill Goode and Pastor Roger Colinger deep-fried turkeys, and James Lewis smoked Boston butt roasts. The side dishes, salads and desserts were provided by the congregation.

The Women’s Missionary Union (WMU) snack food party was held on Dec. 15 at the fellowship hall with the minister and one child also attending. Rev. Colinger conducted a game resembling musical chairs as he read about Christ’s birth.

Betsy Colinger, program director, led a missions program and then the story of Lottie Moon’s mission life in China. A mission offering was decorated with $5 bills for the mission named in Lottie Moon’s honor. One hundred percent of this offering is used for missions only.

Dillard Day led the opening prayer.
