VFW posts celebrate Christmas


Courtesy photo The Mountain Trail Auxiliary to VFW Post 5171 in Cumberland joined VFW Post 3769 in Pikeville in celebrating Christmas with the veterans who are currently living in in the MCCC Veterans Transitional Center in Pike County. This center is located in the Veterans of Foreign Wars District 14 and provides services to homeless veterans and veterans in need. The Pikeville Post prepared and served a fantastic Christmas dinner with all the fixings. Mountain Trail Auxiliary representatives, Hazel Hart, Hazel Swinford and Carla Barrett, brought supplies and gifts to the veterans that were gathered from VFW Post 5171, Cumberland, auxiliary members and friends of veterans.
