Retired teachers attend workshop


Courtesy photo Seven members of the Harlan County Retired Teachers Association attended the Kentucky Retired Teachers Association fall workshop on Sept. 22 at Pine Mountain State Resort Park. Speakers discussed why it is important to be a member of KRTA. There was also a discussion on the insurance program as well as legislative issues facing retired teachers. Following the meeting, members were provided a meal at the lodge. Representing Harlan County were Polly McLain, Mary Lynn Pace, Patsy Howard, Elizabeth Roe-Sergent, Connie Brock, Georgeann Lovely and Charles Lovely.
