The Lottie Moon Circle at Central Baptist Church in Cumberland met on Oct. 20.
Geri Franklin opened the lesson with prayer requests, and prayer was led by Mildred Perry.
The lesson was from Matthew 6:15-15, titled “Walking with God through the Liberian Jungle to Pennsylvania.”
Maxine Halcomb read the prayer focus and missionaries were read by Teresa Dixon. Prayer was led by Dolores Shelton.
Teresa Dixon reported on Emily Dixon’s medical mission trip to Nicaragua, emphasizing how blessed Emily felt.
The finance report was given and approved, and a thank you note was read. Halcomb reported on the pull tab project and Carmen Cox reported on the ongoing card and stamp projects.
Ninety-six attended the fish fry on Sept. 27 and 102 attended the pastor appreciation pot luck on Oct. 11.
Ladies traveled to Pigeon Forge on Oct. 24 and assembled trunk or treat bags on Oct. 26
The Christmas potluck dinner will be held Dec. 6, and the Women’s Missionary Union (WMU) finger food Christmas party will be from 6-8 p.m. on Dec. 15.
Toiletries will be collected for the November project, and a date to distribute will be set. Halcomb dismissed the meeting in prayer.
