The cast for Middlesborough Little Theatre’s production of Everybody Loves Opal, by John Patrick, has been announced.

This sweet yet hilarious comedy tells the story of Opal Kronkie, a junk collector with an incurably sunny disposition. When three bumbling would-be murderers move in, chaos and laughter ensue.

The cast, made up of six local actors, includes several Southeast Kentucky Community & Technical College students and graduates. Student Andy Gray plays Officer Jankee; graduate Josh Shackelford plays Professor Bradford Winter. Honors graduates Chloe McMurray and Stephanie Gibson play integral roles: Chloe portrays Gloria Gulock, and Stephanie serves as stage manager. Clayton Baker will portray the doctor, Shawn Black as Sol and Jeananne Baker as Opal.

The play runs Oct. 22-25 at Middlesboro’s Central Auditorium. Evenings performances begin at 7:30 p.m. and the Sunday matinee at 2:30 p.m. Tickets — $10, $6 for students and seniors — are available at the door.
