Schools celebrate Grandparents Day

The CES 21st CCLC Dance club performed an original song and dance routine for the grandparents and then the local group Righteous Revival provided entertainment before everyone enjoyed a delicious potluck dinner.

Evarts Elementary School celebrated Grandparents Day on Sept. 16. The staff and students welcomed, with a complimentary breakfast, over 300 grandparents of students in kindergarten- through eighth-grade. The impressive number of grandparents in attendance required tables to be set up in the gymnasium to accommodate the large number of guests. In addition to the breakfast, grandparents were presented with handmade crafts and were given the opportunity to shop at the fall book fair with their grandchildren.


Evarts Elementary School celebrated Grandparents Day on Sept. 16. The staff and students welcomed, with a complimentary breakfast, over 300 grandparents of students in kindergarten- through eighth-grade. The impressive number of grandparents in attendance required tables to be set up in the gymnasium to accommodate the large number of guests. In addition to the breakfast, grandparents were presented with handmade crafts and were given the opportunity to shop at the fall book fair with their grandchildren.
