The Loyall United Methodist Church Women met on May 22 at the home of Carla Hammons for a cookout with families and a celebration for Emily Wills graduating college. After fellowship, the women held their May business meeting.

President Barbara Wills opened the meeting with prayer. Women recited the Apostles Creed and read The Purpose.

The group discussed items to be collected for the Ann Heck Food Pantry at Harlan United Methodist Church. Items to bring are cake mix, brownie mix, frosting and cooking oil.

The women voted to give a gift to a graduating high school student.

The group also discussed craft projects and decided to make decorative T-shirts on June 10. Ladies needed to bring a dark T-shirt and hanger.

Women heard a report from Emily Wills’ mission trip. She helped Community Servants with repairs and upkeep on low income housing and also worked at their kid’s center.

The women ended the meeting with prayer.

The next meeting will begin at 6 p.m. on June 27 at Jennifer Moody’s.
