The Loyall United Methodist women met on June 27 at the home of Jennifer Moody.

President Barbara Wills opened the meeting with prayer. Secretary/treasurer George Ann Lovely read the minutes and gave the treasury report from the May meeting. Both were voted on, and passed.

The group discussed items to be collected for the Ann Heck Food Pantry at Harlan United Methodist Church. Items the women are to bring include cans of pinto beans, boxes of macaroni and cheese and single packages of cornbread mix.

The women also discussed ideas for an outreach program. They decided on a Women’s Bible Study Program to begin this fall on Tuesday nights at the fellowship center at the church. The program will be led by Johnnie Hagy.

Information was given to women regarding “Mission U” which was held in July at Lindsey Wilson College along with items needed for the Kentucky Home for Children and Youth for their annual day.

Barbara and Emily Wills presented a program based on Psalms 98. Ladies also learned new prayer songs.

Prayer requests were served by hostess Jennifer Moody to Johnnie Hagy, Audrey Saylor, Carla Hammons, Brenda Sullivan, Kathy White, Edwina Hudson, George Ann Lovely, Barabara Wills and Emily Willis.
