Marvin Thor Patro, 67, of Lejunior, passed away Monday, November 16, 2009, at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born November 20, 1941 in Washington to the late Bonnie Miller Patro and Pat Patro. Marvin retired from the United States Air Force and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He believed in the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Sherry Middleton Patro, Lejunior; a daughter, Tina Perkins and husband Kenny of Evarts; a son, Tim Patro and wife Wendy of Lafayette, LA; two sisters, Joyce Sidis and Sandra Williams, both of Washington; one brother, Ted Patro of Perth, Australia. Also surviving are five grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Middleton and Marilyn Kron; two brothers-in-law Mell Henry Middleton and Danny Middleton.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the Evarts Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Friday at the Evarts Funeral Home with the Reverend Joe Howard officiating.

Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with the Harlan County Honor Guard serving as pallbearers

Military Rites will be performed by the Kentucky National Guard.
