A Baxter woman faces trafficking charges after allegedly selling a Suboxone strip to a police informant.

Misty Lowe, 32, was arrested by Loyall Police Chief Mike Lunsford on Thursday.

The arrest warrant obtained by Lunsford states that on Jan. 2, 2013, Lowe sold 10 Gabapentin pills for $20 to a cooperating witness. The complaint also states Lowe had a small child in a car with her when the transaction took place.

An additional complaint states on Jan. 26, 2013, Lowe sold a Suboxone strip for $25 to a cooperating witness during a drug investigation.

Lowe was charged with second-degree trafficking a controlled substance, trafficking in legend drugs and endangering the welfare of a minor.

Lowe was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center on bonds totaling $7,000.

The case is being investigated by Lunsford.
