Southeast Kentucky Community & Technical College, through its Workforce Solutions initiative, will offer a concealed and carry deadly weapons class that is scheduled for the Cumberland campus on Saturday.
The lecture will begin at 9 a.m. in room 114 of Chrisman Hall under the direction of Garrett Bolin. The session is for individuals ages 21 and older who are interested in acquiring their CCDW permit and will be well suited for women and men with limited or no experience with firearms.
Participants will learn the required instruction of Kentucky CCDW laws, gun safety, marksmanship, gun cleaning, nomenclature ( parts of guns), and the class will include live firearm skills testing of a handgun. Students will need to have hearing and eye protection, a pistol and 50 rounds of ammunition.
The cost of the class is $75.
